Dr. Diane Foley spent most of her childhood in Haiti where her parents served as missionaries. She is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine. After completing a residency in pediatrics, she went on to practice pediatrics for the next 17 years in Indiana before moving to Colorado in 2004. While in Colorado, she continued a part-time adolescent medicine practice but also served as President/CEO of Life Network, a non-profit organization in Colorado Springs that provided physical, financial, and emotional support for women and men facing unintended pregnancies, as well as mentoring for young parents and sexual risk avoidance (SRA) education presentations in local middle and high schools.
Dr. Foley has also served as Director of Medical Ministries for Global Partners of the Wesleyan Church, where her responsibilities included oversight of mission hospitals in Sierra Leone, Zambia, and Haiti. Dr. Foley’s areas of special interest include adolescent health, healthy family formation, and global health. Most recently, she served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Population Affairs and Director of the Office of Adolescent Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in Washington, D.C.
Diane is married to Dr. Steven Foley and, over the past 40+ years, they have shared the joys and struggles of raising four children. Presently, they have three sons-in-law and a daughter-in-law, and are the proud grandparents to 10 amazing children ranging from 4 months to 13 years of age.
